About me
Meet Angela Hagan, your local Nutrition Coach, based on the Isle of Wight.

Hello, my name is Angela and I’m a certified Nutrition Coach located on the beautiful Isle of Wight, off the South Coast of England. I would like to share with you a brief insight into my personal journey to achieving health and wellness.
For most of my adult life, despite cooking homemade meals for my family and eating what I thought was a healthy, balanced diet, somehow I always seemed to be in the ‘overweight’ BMI range. I experienced my fair share of yo-yo dieting through various weight loss and slimming clubs, but I always felt uncomfortable with their promotion of artificial sweeteners and alternative (and in my opinion unhealthy) ingredients. In addition to this, in my early-40s, I suddenly developed primary lymphoedema in my lower legs, which added to my weight retention issues.
To help manage my lymphoedema symptoms I was advised by the medical team to eat healthily, keep my body moving and practice manual lymphatic drainage daily. After years of trying to achieve this, and once my children were older and more self sufficient, I finally decided that it was time to take better care of myself. This launched me on a holistic journey of discovery, education and self-care, to finally achieve a more healthy, happy and balanced life.

Initially, after hours of researching online and listening to months of health related podcasts, I enrolled on Amanda Hamilton’s 6-Week Nutrition Masterclass programme. This helped me to understand the basics of nutrition and inspired me to continue my learning, as I navigated the various stages of menopause.
Wishing to deepen my knowledge and understanding further, I progressed to the Nutrition Coach Academy, accredited by the Complementary Medical Association. Gaining this qualification helped me to achieve my optimal weight and wellness, and ignited my passion to help others, by raising awareness and understanding of basic nutrition and overall wellbeing, helping them to lead healthier and happier lives.
My current mantra is: positive long term health benefits can be achieved by making simple adjustments to diet and lifestyle.
